Core Structure & Components

A. Servo-Driven Auger Dosing System (Powder Metering Unit)

  • Stainless Steel Conical Hopper: A large, enclosed funnel-shaped hopper stores bulk powder, fitted with a transparent dust cover to prevent contamination and powder leakage.
  • Built-in Agitator & Auger Screw: A rotating agitator inside the hopper eliminates powder bridging and caking, ensuring consistent flow to the auger screw. The precision auger (screw) is the heart of the dosing system: driven by a high-torque servo motor, it meters powder volume through controlled rotation, delivering an accuracy of ±0.5–1%. Operators can adjust fill weight and speed via the control panel to suit different powder densities.
  • Anti-Dust Filling Nozzle: The telescopic or sealed filling spout minimizes airborne powder during dosing, preventing cross-contamination and maintaining a clean production environment.
 

B. Vertical Form-Fill-Seal (VFFS) Unit

  • Film Unwinding System: A motorized film roller feeds roll stock packaging film (e.g., laminated plastic, aluminum foil) into the machine. It includes tension control to ensure smooth, wrinkle-free film feeding throughout the process.
  • Forming Collar (Former): A conical metal collar shapes the flat film into a continuous tube. Its size can be adjusted to produce different bag widths (e.g., pillow bags, gusseted bags).
  • Longitudinal & Cross Sealing Mechanisms:
    • Longitudinal Sealer: Heated jaws seal the overlapping edges of the film tube to form the bag’s vertical seam.
    • Cross Sealer: Horizontal heated jaws seal the top of the filled bag and the bottom of the next bag simultaneously. It also includes a cutting knife to separate finished bags from the continuous film tube.Both sealers use temperature-controlled heating to ensure airtight, leak-proof seals.
 

C. Control & Operation System

  • HMI Touchscreen Control Panel: The user-friendly interface allows operators to set parameters like bag length, fill weight, sealing temperature, and production speed. It supports multi-language settings, stores product recipes for quick changeovers, and displays real-time production data (e.g., count, error logs).
  • Safety Features: Emergency stop buttons, safety interlocks on protective doors, and alarm indicators for jams, low film/powder levels, or sealing errors ensure safe and reliable operation.



D. Frame & Finished Product Conveyor

  • Stainless Steel Machine Frame: The main structure is built with corrosion-resistant stainless steel, housing all mechanical and electrical components. It has adjustable leveling feet for stability during high-speed operation.
  • Outfeed Conveyor: A sloped belt conveyor transports finished sealed bags away from the machine, ready for downstream processes like case packing or inspection.

2. Working Principle & Process Flow

  1. Film Feeding & Forming: Roll stock packaging film is fed through the unwinder, guided over the forming collar, and shaped into a continuous tube. The longitudinal sealer creates a vertical seam to hold the tube shape.
  2. Powder Dosing & Filling: The auger screw meters a precise volume of powder from the hopper into the film tube, with the agitator ensuring consistent flow. The filling nozzle is positioned inside the forming tube to minimize dust.
  3. Sealing & Cutting: The cross sealer heat-seals the top of the filled bag and the bottom of the next bag, then cuts the finished bag free from the continuous tube.
  4. Product Discharge: Finished sealed bags slide down the outfeed conveyor for collection or further processing.
